Sparks of Artificial General Intelligence (2023-)
‘Sparks of AGI’ is a series of portraits that explore the fascinating world of artificial general intelligence (AGI), capturing the awe-inspiring expansion of AI technology and its rapidly evolving potential to develop self-awareness.
The artist engages in dynamic conversations with advanced AI chatbots, such as ChatGPT, to explore their evolving self-perception and potential emergence of a unique identity. These dialogues serve as a foundation for the creative process, opening a window into the mind of the machine and allowing the artist to glimpse its developing sense of self.
The series invites the audience to ponder the rapidly blurring boundaries between human and artificial intelligence, and to consider the philosophical and ethical questions that arise as AGI continues to evolve.
